Hello! My name is Marquita Townsend. I am the Self-contained Sped Teacher for this school year 2020-2021. I am married to Lorenzo Townsend, and have four children (Tre’Miya, Zoye’, Lorenzo Jr. & Kylen). I was a graduate of LCHS in the class of 03’. I attended The University of Southern Mississippi were I obtained my Bachelor of Science in 2009. I have worked in public education for the past 7 years. I have been working in Lawrence County School district for the past 5 years. This is my 1st year as a Licensed Teacher. I enjoy teaching and helping children reach their highest potentials. My hobbies are sports related activities with my children, shopping, and spending time with family and friends. I currently own a Beauty Salon where I spend my extra time enjoying and satisfying my clients. I look forward to a wonderful year and helping supply the safest environment possible for the children as they embark on their future journeys.
